Nigeria's President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Sunday, gave a marching order to the nation's security agencies to rescue the remaining female students of the Federal University Gusau, Zamfara State, who were recently abducted by terrorists.

The President gave the directive in a statement on Sunday, September 24, 2023 by Special Adviser on Media & Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale.

According to Ngelale, Tinubu while condemning the abduction, said there is no moral basis to justify such criminal act of kidnapping innocent citizens of the country who are merely students.

The Presidential spokesman said his boss commiserates with the families of the kidnapped students. Tinubu, Ngelale said, restated that his administration has a statutory duty to protect every citizen of the country, assuring that the families of the abducted students that government will intensify every effort to ensure the safe return of their loved ones.

President Tinubu also committed that his administration is determined to ensure that the nation's educational institutions remain "sanctuaries of knowledge, growth, and opportunity, and totally free from the menacing acts of terrorists". NNL.
