Former Senate President, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, has expressed great sadness over the news of the unfortunate passage of Engr. Bertram Oguguo Anyaoku, the younger brother of the former Secretary General of the Commonwealth organization, Chief Emeka Anyaoku.
Anyim, a 2023 Presidential aspirant in a condolence letter on Christmas day to Chief Anyaoku, however urged him to "take heart" and "find comfort in the knowledge that our late brother lived a life of service and made quality contributions to the well being of his Obosi Community, Anambra State, Nigeria and humanity at large".

He prayed God to grant Chief Anyaoku and the rest members of his family the courage to bear the huge loss. Anyim also told Anyaoku that as the elder in the family, his brother's death will be a painful experience for him.
"As you prepare for his final rite of passage, may the Lord grant his soul eternal rest in His bosom", Senator Anyim prayed. NNL.
