Civil Society Scaling Up Nutrition in Nigeria (CS-SUNN) has launched a budget tracking exercise to monitor nutrition funding across Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) in Bauchi State.
The Chairperson of the organisation in the state, Dabris Mawlik, said the initiative was aimed at strengthening nutrition programmes by ensuring that funds allocated to relevant MDAs are released and effectively utilised.
She explained that the exercise covers the fourth quarter of the 2025 budget cycle, from October to December.
According to her, the monitoring process will also generate accurate data on government allocations to nutrition-related interventions across MDAs.
Mawlik added that CS-SUNN members had been assigned to different ministries to collect necessary information on nutrition activities and budget implementation.
She expressed optimism that the exercise would improve coordination and strengthen nutrition service delivery across the state. NNL.
