Thousands of supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC), on Monday, thronged the Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa International Airport to welcome party leaders, as the Bauchi chapter formally endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term.
The endorsement was the highlight of a stakeholders’ meeting held in Bauchi, where party leaders reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The meeting, led by the Minister of Health, Muhammad Ali Pate, brought together key stakeholders to strategise on consolidating support across the state.
Former Governor, Isa Yuguda, who is the Ambassador Renewed Hope Initiative Agenda, urged party members to unite and mobilise support for Tinubu, noting that grassroots engagement would be crucial in securing victory.
He maintained that the president’s policies would continue to yield positive outcomes, particularly in economic growth and youth empowerment.
Other leaders, including Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar, praised Tinubu’s leadership, highlighting improvements in infrastructure and healthcare delivery.
They pointed to the upgrade of the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital and road projects as evidence of progress.
Dr Bala Maijama’a Wunti, a prominent APC chieftain, called for sustained unity within the party, emphasising the need for collective action.
Represented by Alhaji Adamu Fanta, he pledged continued grassroots mobilisation to ensure electoral success.
The delegation also visited the Emir of Bauchi, Rilwanu Sulaiman Adamu, in a show of respect and traditional engagement. Observers say the massive turnout and endorsement signal early mobilisation efforts by the APC in Bauchi as political activities ahead of 2027 gather momentum. NNL.
