Following the recent killings in some parts of Plateau State, North Central, Nigeria, a group, Holistic View Concept, a society wellness based organisation, has called on the government to take proactive measures to secure the lives of the citizenry, emphasizing the need for social security of the people.

Team Lead/CEO of the organization, Nanman Philemon Kash (NPK), a practicing nurse and social development advocate while speaking with newsmen at the event stated that the program was organised because of the increasing number of Internally Displaced Persons( IDPs) due to the incessant attacks in Mangu and some local governments in Plateau State.

Kash, described Holistic View Concept as a socially driven organization with the overall aim of helping individuals, families and communities to thrive physically, mentally and socio-economically.

She noted that the program tagged " Bringing Holistic Care To Camp" which includes, Medical checks, lab investigations and treatments, paying special attention to the aged and deworming of children, with Health talk on hygiene, reproductive health/ right to the women and young girls due to their vulnerability in the society, was initiated to give back to the community and bring succour to the IDPs.

Mrs Kash appreciated God for the privilege to be alive, she also expressed her gratitude to the Mishkagham for their efforts for finding time to come and encourage them as she admonished the people to look up to God Almighty and cast their burdens onto him at times like this.

While appreciating the government for the efforts thus far, she however stated that a lot of proactive measures need to be in place to secure the lives of the citizenry and emphasized the need for social security of the people.

The administrator of the IDP Camp, Mr Mathias Sohotden, in his address, on behalf of the entire IDPS, appreciated the team for the health outreach and donations in this challenging time even as he prayed for God's blessings.

The Mishkagham Mwaghavul; HRH Daa John Hirse, in his message, expressed his gratitude to the organizers for coming to the plight of the IDPs in different dimensions, while also appealing to the IDPs to remain calm. He reassured them that all effort is being put in place to bring to an end the attacks on the peaceful people of Plateau.
