The re-elected Chairperson of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Bauchi State Chapter, Rashida Yusuf, has unveiled a renewed vision centered on professionalism, unity, and advocacy for women and girls.

Yusuf, who was sworn in alongside other executive members for a second three-year term, described her re-election as a collective achievement and pledged purposeful leadership.

“Our victory is not personal but a shared accomplishment. We have risen together and will continue to build a stronger association,” she said.

She outlined plans to strengthen members’ capacity through consistent training, deepen synergy within the union, and champion causes that positively project women and girls in society.

Other members of the executive include Maryamu Bala (Vice Chairperson), Amina Ahmed (Secretary), Diana Yojana (Treasurer), and Amina Midi Abdullahi (Financial Secretary).

The NAWOJ National President, Hajiya Aisha Ibrahim, represented by Zonal Secretary, Hajiya Hauwa Aliyu, dissolved the former executive before inaugurating the new one and urged them to live up to expectations.

Meanwhile, Bauchi State Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Comrade Umar Sa’idu, charged the leadership to work harmoniously and maintain close collaboration with the State Council.

He described the Bauchi chapter as one of the most vibrant under the NUJ in the state. NNL.
