An ongoing one storey building belonging to a Taraba State-based business tycoon, Mr Uche Obi, collapsed on Friday last week, killing one labourer while three others still remain trapped in the building.
The story building which is opposite the Taraba State Polytechnic Jalingo gate, was on the first floor of construction before the incident occurred when the labourers were at work.
Mr Uche Obi who deals in building materials is currently facing a legal battle with the Standard Organization of Nigeria (SON) at the Taraba State High Court in Jalingo over the alleged selling of sub-standard building materials.
NIGERIAN NEWS-LEADER Newspaper Correspondent reports that men of the Security and Civil Defence Corps and the police were seen at the scene trying to rescue the trapped labourers. NNL.
