Scores of chieftains of the ruling All progressive congress (APC) have rallied support for the southwest geopolitical zone to produce the occupant of the exalted seat of the presidency in the 2023 poll.
The chieftains who are states and zonal coordinators in support of the emergence of Senator Ibikunle Amosun bared their minds at a parley held recently at the Transcorp Hilton Abuja.
In opening remarks, Ambassador Fatima Balla Abubakar expressed optimism that Amosun would emerge victorious at the party primaries scheduled to take place on the 30th of this month.
Calling on the coordinators not to rest on their oars to achieve the goal, she assured us that Amosun would address the multifaceted challenges besetting the country if voted into power in the 2023 poll.
She expressed optimism that the security challenges in the country would be addressed by Amosun of he actualized his presidential ambition.
Making references to the developmental strides achieved in Ogun state when Amosun administered the state to buttress her assertions, she said: "We are depending on you party members to campaign for candidate Ibikunle. Help talk to our delegates to give us our votes.
"Candidate Ibikunle is kind, brilliant, and also a very good man. He is tested and trusted having had a wide range of experience at both the state and national levels. He would proffer solutions to the problems of Nigeria.
"He was governor for eight years. We saw peace and development in Ogun state. He will be a very good Presidential material for Nigeria. Let's work assiduously to ensure his emergence as our president.".NNL.
