Unknown gun-bearing Kidnappers, on Wednesday night, attacked the National Institute of Construction Technology, Uromi, in Esan Northeast Local Government Area of Edo Central District and successfully abducted a yet-to-be-ascertained number of teachers and students of the Institution.
The teachers and students were allegedly abducted by the bandits after shooting sporadically. This development generated severe tension in the area, leading to parents and guardians storming the institute to ascertain the whereabouts of their children and wards.
As at press time, Edo state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Bello Kontongs, who confirmed the incident said he was awaiting the details from the commander of the anti-kidnapping unit of the state’s police command. NNL.
