A political heavy blow has hit the opposition peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Gombe State again, as it lost four of its stalwarts to the growing New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).
The Labour Party has appointed former Political Adviser to President Olusegun Obasanjo, Mr. Akin Osuntokun, as the new Director General of it's Presidential Campaign Council.
Former military President, Ibrahim Babangida has denied a post issued through a fake Twitter account linked to him, supporting Obasanjo ‘s recent endorsement.

The Appeal Court, Abuja Division, on Friday, dismissed the application by Hon. Chijioke Edeoga, a 2023 governorship aspirant in Enugu state on the platform of the Labour Party seeking to be joined as an interested party in the appeal case brought by Labour Party challenging an earlier judgement by a lower court which had nullified a purported gubernatorial primary it held on August 4, 2022.
Doyin Okupe has stepped down from his position as the director-general of the Labour Party presidential campaign council.
