The Enugu State Commissioner of Police, Mamman Bitrus Giwa, on March 26, 2026, joined the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 13, Abayomi Peter Oladipo, in appreciating sports personnel of the Zone.
The athletes, drawn from the Enugu and Anambra State Commands under the Zone, were commended for their outstanding performance at the recently concluded 2026 Biennial Police Games (BIPOGA) held in Asaba, Delta State.
At the appreciation and reward ceremony held at the Zonal Command Headquarters, Ukpo-Dunukofia, Anambra State, the athletes were presented with certificates and cash rewards in recognition of their efforts, which earned the Zone an overall fourth-place finish out of 18 competing teams, including the Force Headquarters team.
The Zone recorded an impressive total of 109 medals, comprising 43 gold, 21 silver, and 45 bronze medals. NNL.
