Financial Crime Anti-corruption EFCC ICPC

The Abuja Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), on Tuesday, re-arraigned former Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Mohamed Bello Adoke and Aliyu Abubakar, before Justice I.E. Ekwo of the Federal High Court, Abuja, on a 14-count amended charge of money laundering to the tune of over Six Million United States Dollars ($6,000,000).

Following the public disclosure of the list of alleged beneficiaries of the scandalous contract awards in the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) by the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio, former governor of Delta state, Chief James Ibori, has denied benefiting from any contract award from the Commission.

Borno State governor, Professor Babagana Zulum, has expressed his anger and displeasure with the military command in Baga, Borno state, over what he described as their inability to repel Boko Haram terrorists operating in the area, one year after the army authorities at the Defence Headquarters established the military base.

A Bauchi Coalition Against Financial Crimes and Injustice (BACAFCI), has filed three fresh petitions against the former APC Governor of Bauchi State, Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar, before the Independent Corrupt Practices (ICPC), and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), over alleged fraud, financial misappropriation and abuse of office by Abubakar.
