The management of, Federal University of Technology (FUT), Minna has disclaimed the nine Professors purportedly possessing fake certificates as being lecturers or having anything to do with the school.
The internet and indeed the social media have been inundated with a list of 100 Professors across Nigerian universities purportedly emanating from the National Universities Commission (NUC) possessing ‘fake’ certificates from foreign universities.
The nine fake Professors; Nurudeen Adenuga, Fauziyyah Adeyemi, Halima Abubakar, Hamdat Olufemi, Hawa Alhassan, Idris Adigun, Jamilu Ahmad, A'isha Bello and Haroon Akande, were listed to be working at FUT, Minna.
The university in a statement signed by the Deputy Director, Information, Publications and Public Relations, Mrs. Lydia W. Legbo, said none of the nine names reflected on the list of teaching staff, Heads of any Departments or Units of the school.
“For the records, the management wishes to inform the general public that the nine persons listed in the news report as professors in FUT, Minna are not staff of the institution and have never had any dealings whatsoever with the university at any point in time, in any capacity”.
The management, according to the statement wishes to state categorically that the aforementioned Professors are not known to the University, and any person who deals with any of them as individual or a group does so at his or her own risk. NNL.
