The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has officially sworn in 1,700 corps members of the 2026 Batch B Stream I deployed to Bauchi State for the mandatory one-year national service.
 
Speaking during the swearing-in ceremony held on Monday at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Wailo, the State Coordinator, Mr. Umoren Kufre, expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the corps members, noting that they had actively participated in camp activities without any major challenges.
Kufre commended the corps members for demonstrating patriotism, discipline, loyalty, and commitment since arriving at the camp, adding that they had adapted well to the regimented lifestyle of the scheme.
 
He urged them to obey camp regulations and utilize established channels in addressing grievances, assuring them that the NYSC management would continue to prioritize their welfare, safety, and comfort.
 
The coordinator also appreciated the Bauchi State Government for its sustained support to the scheme.
 
Governor Bala Mohammed, represented by the Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Adamu Gabarin, charged the corps members to embrace their national assignment and contribute meaningfully to national unity and development.
 
The oath of allegiance was administered by Justice Abubakar Yerima on behalf of the Chief Judge of the state, Justice Rabi Umar. NNL.
