People's Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential aspirant in 2023, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, on Saturday, February 19. 2022, celebrated his 61TH Birthday at the International Conference Centre (ICC), Abuja.
Anyim also used the occasion to formally announce his decision to bid for Nigeria's presidency in the coming general elections. Anyim, at the well-attended occasion, promised Nigerians that he has nothing to gain at 61 years of his life than to work for the unity and glory of Nigeria in the capacity of a president.
As expected, many eminent Nigerians and PDP stalwarts, political associates and bosses in government as well as friends, colleagues, tribesmen, well-wishers and family members, etc, gathered in large numbers to celebrate with the former Senate President and ex-Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).
President Muhammadu Buhari who was represented by the 19th Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, gave good commendation to Senator Anyim and expressed his delight that Anyim is a patriot who has capacity to rule Nigeria.
Anyim's former bosses in government, ex-President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and his ex-Vice, Alhaji Namadi Sambo, also hailed Anyim on his birthday and equally endorsed his aspiration for the presidency.
Senator Anyim's wife, Barrister Chioma Blessing Anyim, his first son, Chibuike and his younger son and eldest daughter, were on hand to cut the birthday cake with him.
Anyim whose wife's birthday was on February 18th, the eve of his own birthday, however received a beautiful and heart-warming birthday romantic outpouring from her husband. Anyim describing her as God’s best gift to him and his children.
Senator Anyim captured his birthday eulogy to his wife thus on his Facebook page:
"The 18th of February is a big day in my life and that of my family. That is the birthday of my wife, coming just a day before mine on the 19th. When I sit down to count the many blessings of God in my life, the gift of Chioma Blessing Anyim as wife to me stands tallest. I have in my wife a companion, soul mate, confidant, a resourceful manager, teacher, and most outstandingly, my prayer warrior.
"My wife’s patience and capacity for tolerance always baffles me. I have been in the public space for over 30 years. Visitors stream into our home at all times, including those who come at ungodly hours. My wife, often from the back stage, manages that ‘madness’ with uncommon calmness and efficiency.
"My sunshine in human form, I adore and cherish you. Our children and I love you with every fiber of our being. Your smile and laughter light our days. We pray that the good Lord who has been our help, defence and hope for the years to come will bless you with good health. May you continue to enjoy, in greater measure, the joy and happiness you share around.
"Happy birthday the love of my life", Anyim signed off.
