The Senator representing Sokoto East Senatorial District, Senator Ibrahim Lamido, has registered no fewer than 5000 students from his constituency for the 2024/2025 Joint Admisson and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Examination.
This development which was in continuation of the Senator's Education Trust Fund covered all the eight Local Government areas of Sokoto East Senatorial District.
These Local Government areas are Gwadabawa, Isa, Sabon Birni, Illela, Gada Goronyo, Rabah and Wurno.
Given reasons for the Senator"s continued interest in education, Yusuf Sada Isah, the Zonal Secretary to Senator Ibrahim Lamido reaffirmed that it was borne out of the Senator's desire towards reviving education in the security effected axis of the state which he currently represents in the Senate.
Yusuf, who said the Senator is deeply concerned about a better tommorow for all the young people of the axis, added that he has continued to demonstrate this passion as seen in the millions of naira been spend on education of his people.
According to him, less than a month ago, the Senator gave over 5000 students from his axis a support of 50,000 each amounting to over 200 million naira.
In his advise to beneficiaries of the free JAMB Forms, Senator Lamido urged them to study hard, adding that they can only study courses of their choices in the University when they passed the examination.
The Senator further appealed to all and sundry in Sokoto East Senatorial district to disclose vital information to security agencies as that will help in ending the banditry, kidnapping and other forms of crimes in the region.
In their reactions to the gesture, some of the beneficiaries thanked Senator Lamido for making such a huge impact on the lives of the people of the Senatorial district in less than a year in office. NNL.
