The Bauchi State Police Command has expressed solidarity with the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) and media organisations following the death of journalists in a tragic auto crash in Gombe State.
According to a statement by the Command’s spokesperson, SP Nafiu Habib, the condolence message was conveyed on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, CP Sani-Omolori Aliyu, who described the incident as a great loss not only to the families of the victims but to the entire journalism profession.
The Command said the deceased were patriotic citizens and dedicated members of the fourth estate of the realm who served the public with commitment and integrity.
While offering prayers for the repose of their souls, the Police urged the bereaved families to take solace in the enduring legacy of service left behind by the late journalists.
The statement, dated December 31, 2025, extended condolences to the NUJ, media organisations and all those affected by the tragedy. NNL.
