About 34 years ago this year, the notorious armed bandit who terrorised Benin City, capital of the present Edo state and old Bendel State the 80s , Lawrence Nomanyagbon Anini A.K.A. "Ovbigbo" or "the Law" and some members of his gang were executed by firing squad after being convicted by the defunct Bendel State Armed Robbery and Firearms Tribunal presided over by Justice James Omo-Agege.
