Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has presented official vehicles to all the twenty local government Caretaker Committee Chairmen.
The presentation of the vehicles was done at the Bauchi Government House, on behalf of the Governor by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Barr. Ibrahim Kashim.
According to the (SSG), Governor Bala Mohammed is pleased with their prudence in handling the affairs of the Local Councils hence the move to support them. He added that the brand new Peugeot (406) was to ease their official responsibilities and promote productivity.
Also speaking, the State Commissioner, Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Abdurrazak Nuhu Zaki, assured of the ministry's determination to complement the effort of Governor towards repositioning the Local Government administration system.
Zaki also commended Governor Bala Mohammed for the total overhaul of all the Local Government Secretariats and Palaces of District Heads across the state.
Responding on behalf of the Caretaker Chairmen, the State Chairman of the Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON), Alhaji Umaru Hassan, expressed appreciation to the Governor.
Hassan who is also the Caretaker chairman of Katagum Local Government, promised their continuous loyalty to Governor Bala Mohammed's led administration. NNL.
