The Sokoto State Police Command has declared the prime suspects in the killing and setting ablaze of Deborah Samuel wanted for culpable homicide.
A statement by the police spokesperson, ASP Sanusi Abubakar, however, assured that others arrested at the scene of the crime have been charged to Court and are now remanded in the correctional center.
"The Sokoto State Command under the able leadership of the Commissioner of Police, CP Kamaldeen kola Okunlola, has declared the suspects spotted on the viral video wanted. Prime suspects that claimed the murder of Deborah Samuel on the viral video were declared wanted.
"Others arrested at the scene while dispersing the mob were charged to court and remanded in prison. The Command is using these mediums to reiterate its commitment to apprehending the suspects. The command has already deployed all its intelligence and is on the lookout for the suspects".
Sokoto Police Command further appealed to members of the public to cooperate with the police and report any mere identification to the command or any security outfit in their domain.
"The command can be reached through its emergency number 07068848035", he noted.
This is coming days after some online report had earlier said the prime suspects were alleged to be from the Niger Republic and are now at large. The online publications insisted that their source was top police personnel who preferred anonymity. NNL.
