Enugu State governor, Dr Peter Mbah, on Monday, appointed veteran journalist and former Managing Director/Editor-in-chief of the state-owned Daily Star newspapers, Mr Nwobodo Onyekwere, as his new Special Adviser on Media.
The new appointee, a former Judiciary Editor, Assistant News Editor, Bureau Chief South East, and South South of the the PUNCH newspapers at various times, is the immediate-past media adviser to an Enugu federal lawmaker, Hon Offor Chukwuegbo.
The seasoned newsman is a member of the Nigerian Guild of Editors (NGE). He brings to his current assignment in government, a wealth of experience in media practice and political and public engagement.
In his capacity as Special Adviser on Media, Nwobodo Onyekwere will assumes the critical role of Chief Spokesperson to the Governor of Enugu State. NNL.
