Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) in charge of Training and Development, Mr Frank Mba and seven of his colleagues have finally retired from service of the Nigerian Police Force (NPF).

The retirement which comes on the heels of the appointment of a new Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mr Tunji Disu by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to replace Dr Kayode Egbetokun, is part of the new changes in the leadership structure of the Nigerian Police.
Prior to the appointment, Disu was an assistant inspector-general of police (AIG) — a rank below that of the retiring DIGs.
In a statement late Friday, the Police Service Commission (PSC) announced that seven AIGs have been promoted to the rank of DIG following oral interview and written examination conducted on Friday. NNL.
