Contrary to some sponsored media publications, President Muhammadu Buhari has addressed, as squarely as possible, the issues bedevilling the party in the last few days by strongly warning APC Governors to stop backstabbing the Chairman Caretaker Committee Governor Mai Mala Buni and calling for order in the governing APC.
The President, who is the leader of the party and father figure, has spoken well and directs without any ambiguity. The word, as they said, is enough for the wise.
As far as we are concerned, President Buhari has addressed the issues pomp and clear. You don't need any english teacher to tell you what the president said in his message "desist from backstabbing and name calling" as he calls for order.
For example, its clear from the message, the President did not ask Governor Sani Bello to take over the affairs of the party from Buni. If it is really so, the President would have said so categorically.
Governor El-Rufai is wrong, the President did not endorse a new party chairman and neither did he asked for a NEC meeting to be held this week. If it is true, Mr President, who is always direct (Baba Mai Gaskiya) would have confirmed it.
Make no mistake, Governor Buni is the authentic Chairman of the APC CECPC by law. President Buhari doesn't need to say that because he pretty well knows who is in charge, the party processes, procedures and conventions as fully enshrined in the APC constitution.
One can deduce from the message that President Buhari was quite unhappy as he warned the APC Governors to desist from backstabbing and name-calling, and use of ungentlemanly words against the Chairman of the APC Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, Governor Mai Mala Buni, who has done so much for the party and doesn't deserve to be treated the way he is being currently treated by some party members.
President Muhammadu Buhari has called for order, and the order should be maintained, clearing all doubts on the Governor Buni-led Caretaker Committee to carry on with its arrangements for the planned national convention of the party.
These are the issues the President, Muhammadu Buhari, the leader of the party addressed and it is well understood without any ambiguity.
